How can I register for a LearningCounts course?

Step 1:

Call a SECO Career Counselor at 800-342-9647 to discuss your knowledge, expertise and interests. Together, you will create your Education and Training Plan. Your SECO Counselor will also help you determine which portfolio development course is best for you.

Step 2:

Your SECO Counselor will email you a Financial Assistance (FA) form. You need this form to register for a LearningCounts course.

Step 3:

Send an email to LearningCounts at [email protected], including your name, course start date, and attach the FA form.

Step 4:

Upon receipt of your email, we will register you for the course indicated in your email.

Step 5:

LearningCounts will contact you by email within seven days of the course start date to provide you with your login information.

Step 6:

Login and complete your profile.

Step 7:

During the course, you will create your Learning Portfolio. The portfolio will relate your experiences to college courses. You have 6 months from starting CAEL 100 to create your first Learning Portfolio. Additional portfolios can be completed over time.

Step 8:

Your completed portfolio will be assessed by a college professor for college-level learning. LearningCounts will notify you of the number of college credits you have earned via your portfolio.

Step 9:

Take your LearningCounts credit recommendation to the college of your choice. You can order a National College Credit Recommendation Service/LearningCounts transcript reflecting the college credits you’ve earned through LearningCounts. The transcript can be sent to your college or university, We can also send you the transcript for your records.
